This year, the National Park Film Festival jointly presents 106 screening events, divided into two parts: the main program organized by the Construction and Planning Agency and programs hosted by individual National Park (Preparatory) Headquarters (Stations). The main program features 7 sessions showcasing 10 outstanding ecological and cultural masterpieces by internationally award-winning directors. Audiences will journey from Taiwan’s most beautiful backbone mountain ranges, plains, coasts, and islands to the ocean forests, discovering the hidden beauty of Taiwan’s secret landscapes rarely accessible to the public. Renowned directors Liao Tung-kun, Liang Chieh-te, Chen Chin-fa, Yang Hsiang-wen, and Liu Szu-yi are specially invited to attend in person to share behind-the-scenes filming secrets rarely revealed, as well as the remarkable and touching stories from their production journeys. Each National Park (Preparatory) Headquarters (Station) will also present representative works in 99 joint screening events. All activities are free of charge. Attendees will receive a DVD of the screening session and a limited-edition 3D festival souvenir. This is a rare opportunity—registration is welcome, and families are encouraged to join and enjoy together.
