Marine National Park Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as MNPH) published the photography collection “Images of Penghu South Four Islands” in 2016. In order to share the beauty of Penghu South Four Islands National Park with the public, MNPH has specially collaborated with the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Tainan City Government to jointly organize the “Images of Penghu South Four Islands” Photography Exhibition and Book Launch Event. The photography exhibition is scheduled to be held from September 2 to September 19, 2017, at the Wu Garden Cultural Center in Tainan. The book launch event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 16 at Eslite Bookstore Tainan Culture & Nanfang Store. Guests attending the book launch will have the opportunity to receive exquisite commemorative gifts. Penghu South Four Islands National Park is the ninth national park in Taiwan and the second marine national park following Dongsha Atoll National Park. The park features magnificent basalt geological landscapes, rich coral reef ecosystems, endemic flora and fauna of Taiwan, and traditional Minnan-style architecture, forming diverse and abundant natural and cultural landscapes. It possesses unique value in terms of conservation and promotion.
To introduce this beautiful national park to a wider audience, MNPH commissioned renowned Taiwanese photographer Hsu Chao-Pang in 2016 to produce the photography collection “Images of Penghu South Four Islands.” In conjunction with the publication, MNPH has planned a photography exhibition and book launch event in Tainan, where the photographer will share insights and experiences from the shooting process. Through these stunning and vivid images, readers are invited to explore and experience the diverse landscapes and cultural charm of the Penghu South Four Islands set between sea and sky.
The “Images of Penghu South Four Islands” Photography Exhibition will be on display from September 2 to September 19, 2017, in the B1 Exhibition Hall of Wu Garden Cultural Center, Tainan. On September 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the author, Mr. Hsu Chao-Pang, will personally guide visitors in discovering Penghu South Four Islands National Park through his photographic lens. In addition, the book launch event will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 16 at Eslite Bookstore Tainan Nanfang Store. All events offer free admission (no registration required).
