The Marine National Park Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as MNPH) has partnered with the Kaohsiung Public Library – Dadong Arts Library (hereinafter referred to as Dadong Arts Library) to present the “Reading the Sea – Marine National Parks Photography Exhibition.” The exhibition runs from now until December 30, 2015, at Dadong Arts Library. Members of the public who care about and cherish the ocean are warmly invited to visit and explore the beauty of the sea through photography.
Taiwan is an island nation surrounded by the sea, and its abundant and diverse marine resources are invaluable treasures. Through MNPH’s remarkable photographic works, visitors can discover two marine national parks that may be less familiar to the general public—Dongsha Atoll National Park and South Penghu Marine National Park. The exhibition showcases magnificent coral reef ecosystems, striking geological landscapes, soaring birdlife, and vibrant marine organisms, including many breathtaking underwater photographs. Through the photographers’ lenses, visitors can dive beneath the surface and explore these national parks without the need for heavy diving gear or air tanks, experiencing the beauty of marine ecosystems in a relaxed and accessible way.
