In recent years, South Penghu Marine National Park has become a popular site for tourists to seek inner peace and explore the vast ocean. With corals flourishing in the coastal areas, the national park is not suitable for jet-skiing. High-speed vehicles might also interfere boats and divers. The impact on coastal environment is what we concern the most.

In order to achieve sustainable development, the headquarters announced Types, Range, Time and Regulations for Water Activities in South Penghu Marine National Park according to Regulations Governing Water Recreation Activities, banning any jet-skiing and high-speed water activities. Water activities in Marine Scenic areas need to be approved by the headquarters.

According to Regulations Governing Water Recreation Activities, except for approved project events, jet-skiing and any high-speed water activities (parasailing, banana boating, kiteboarding, waterskiing etc.) will be fined from 5,000 NTD up to 25,000 NTD, and commercial acts triple the fine. For special circumstances such as emergencies, jet skis are allowed upon application. As for other jet ski trainings, please submit the activities as project events according to Types, Range, Time and Regulations for Water Activities in South Penghu Marine National Park for approval.
