To jointly promote marine environmental education, the Marine National Park Headquarters (MNPH) is actively developing a "Marine School" centered around national parks. Witnessed by Director Wu Xin-xiu of the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, a "Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Cooperation" was signed with National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU) on November 17, 2022. This partnership aims to establish a collaborative model for talent, equipment, venues, and administrative resources, striving for a win-win outcome.

Collaboration in Courses, Talent, Venues, and Equipment

The MNPH stated that to develop new dimensions for marine national parks and promote diverse environmental education models, courses centered on national parks will be offered. These include credit courses, master's degree programs, continuing education classes, and general ecotourism environmental education activities. Full-time faculty from NKNU and colleagues from the national park will serve as professional mentors for co-teaching. Relevant equipment and venues will be provided on NKNU campuses in Kaohsiung and on-site at the South Penghu Marine National Park. By establishing a dedicated center for teaching and promotion, the partnership aims to advance environmental education and international exchange.
