On May 24, 2018 (Thursday), the Administration will co-host the 2017 Conservation Research Results Presentation with the Marine Science Institute Lecture Hall at National Sun Yat-sen University. The presentation will follow the usual format of inviting research teams to share their findings. Newly published works such as the "Dongsha Eight-Prong Coral Ecology Atlas" and the "South Penghu Four Islands Species Handbook" will also be showcased. Through diverse approaches, the event aims to promote marine research and National Park conservation concepts into public life and inspire further possibilities for the future.

The event will feature speakers including Professor Dai Chang-Feng from the Institute of Oceanography, National Taiwan University, Associate Researcher Gong Shou-Ye from the National Museum of Natural Science, Assistant Researcher Lin Pei-Ying from the National Applied Research Laboratories Taiwan Ocean Technology Research Center, and Associate Professor Huang Yu-Sheng from National Penghu University of Science and Technology. Presentations will cover soft coral ecology at Dongsha Atoll, explore the causes of atoll and island sedimentation, and provide a general survey of the marine biota of the South Penghu Four Islands.

To promote the newly published popular science books, the event will include a book promotion and quiz activity, with winners receiving a signed copy from the authors. Interested members of the public are welcome to participate. Registration can be completed via the online system (http://signup.cpami.gov.tw/). For more information, please refer to this site.
