National Park International Film Festival Shines Bright.
This year has been a remarkable year for the National Park International Film Festival. The recently announced 51st Houston International Film Festival featured five award-winning films from Taiwan, including three Platinum Awards: "Kenting: Island of Wind," "Postcards from Nan’an," and "Journey to Yushan"; Gold Award: "Wild Shoushan – Ecology of Formosan Macaques"; and Bronze Award: "Cape Eagle Flight." Director Wu Hsin-Hsiu of the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, stated that documentaries produced by National Parks have won countless awards over the years. Taking this opportunity, the 107 Wild Vision – National Park International Film Festival will be held, showcasing award-winning works from internationally renowned festivals such as the Houston International Film Festival, Montana International Wildlife Film Festival, Respect International Film Competition, Terres Catalunya International Eco and Tourism Film Festival in Spain, and ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival in Portugal. A total of 20 outstanding films will be presented, in collaboration with the UK Wildscreen, known as the "Oscar of nature films," for the 8th Taiwan Wild Vision International Nature Film Festival, screening all 20 award-winning films for free during the event!

  Diverse and captivating content.
The Construction and Planning Agency stated that many people are eager to witness the annual phenomenon in Kenting where, after the rainy season, land crabs simultaneously rush to the sea to release their young, as if summoned by the moonlight and tides. Birdwatching enthusiasts are equally amazed and fascinated by the “River of Eagles,” a unique sight stretching tens of kilometers off the southern coast of the Hengchun Peninsula in March. Through the lenses of renowned documentary filmmakers, these incredible images reveal the grandeur of mountains, rivers, and seas, as well as the vibrant ecosystems of flora and fauna. The selected films from Taiwan’s National Parks are rich, diverse, and awe-inspiring, offering viewers breathtaking landscapes and stories, whether in microfilms, dramas, or cultural-ecological documentaries – truly a feast for the senses!

645 screenings with outreach to schools and remote areas.
The festival plans a total of 645 screenings. Additionally, it cooperates with the National Taiwan Museum, National Museum of Natural Science, National Taiwan Science Education Center, and National Science and Technology Museum to organize themed activities. Screening locations include national (nature) parks, metropolitan parks, NGOs, communities, schools, and local exhibition spaces, making the festival more accessible to the public. Special programs are arranged for Yushan, Shei-Pa, and Taroko National Parks to bring guided screenings and environmental education to remote schools.

July launch with public-private cooperation on plastic reduction.
To complement the marine-themed films of the festival, the Construction and Planning Agency has planned an environmental education activity titled “National Park Plastic-Free Guests.” Sponsored by private enterprises, the picture book "Using Love to Make the World Brighter – The Fantastic Adventure of Little Earth Guardians" will be used with engaging storytelling, lively stage setups, and quiz activities with prizes, promoting the concept of plastic reduction in daily life.

The 107 Wild Vision – National Park International Film Festival will officially start in July. Everyone is welcome to participate in this international event held locally.
