Marine National Park Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as the MNPH) attempts to make more people aware of South Penghu Marine National Park. To accomplish this goal, the MNPH organized the special exhibition "Beautiful Secret Lands-Amazing Journey-South Penghu Marine National Park"  (Hereinafter referred to as special exhibition) at the Cultural Art Gallery on the 2nd floor of Magong Airport. The MNPH will also hold a series of online activities including declassifications, lectures, and quizzes with prizes during the National Ocean Day from Jun 6 to Jun 8. Everyone is welcome to learn about ocean knowledges online.

Respond to the concept of “National Ocean Day”, promote knowledge on marine culture and conservation

In response to the concept of "National Ocean Day", the Marine National Park Headquarters will hold a series of online activities including declassifications, lectures, and quizzes with prizes on the official Facebook fan page for 3 consecutive days from Jun 6 to Jun 8. Anyone who just needs to watch the online video and answer 8 questions about South Penghu Marine National Park and marine biodiversity will have an opportunity to win rich prizes. In this event, professor Chiu, Yuwen will be invited from Chiayi University to lead the public to learn about Taiwan’s marine culture and conservation from the videos and explain the profound knowledge in a simple language.

Hold quizzes with prizes online activities to enhance the sense of public participation

Recently, in responding to the epidemic prevention policy of the severe special infectious pneumonia (COVID-19), the special exhibition has been temporarily suspended, but the pace of “learn about the sea, care about the sea, and close to the sea” is never stopped. The Marine National Park Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as the MNPH) has prepared 4 great prizes including the South Penghu Four Islands stamps collection leaflet, seaman waterproof dry bag, multi-function sunhat, and the keyring of "Little brother Wu (i.e. the figure of Ballast Rock Man)”. Everyone is welcome to participate in online activities at home to prevent infection of Covid-19. Please refer to the official Facebook fan page of the MNPH for details of the activities.

The special exhibition uses the “Stove Cage” (灶籠, a food steamer used on the stove in China), the marine cave on Xiji Island, as the entrance image, hoping to reveal the magnificent and diverse appearance of the four southern islands of Penghu after the epidemic of Covid-19
